MEET OUR LEADERSHIP

Greg Spurgin

Lead Pastor

Hello, thank you for taking the time to find out more about us and what we stand for. I would say that first and foremost I stand for biblical truth and leaving out our faith in a real tangibale way. I have through ministry come to believe that the best form of sharing the love of Christ is through relationship. So we value real relationships and building those relationships with others. My life verse is Matthew 22:35-40

35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

God wants all of us not just the bad parts, but all of us. My goal in leading our church is to help everyone grow deeper in love with Jesus.

Youth Pastor

A few things about me: I love being outside, going to the gym and cooking good food… however, the thing I am most passionate about is spreading God’s love to those around me. I am so excited to be working with the youth and walking alongside them in their day to day lives. I believe that God has created us all unique —each with a beautiful story— and my hope is that our life stories will point to God’s goodness and faithfulness.

Korean Ministry: Pastors

YVC Korean church is a community for people who desire the Word of God.

We will transform to be "Jesus-like" through our brokenness that comes from confronting the Word of God. We will experience the Kingdom of God here and now and look forward to eternal heaven.

Therefore, we want to be a church that:

·        Is a community for all those who are in distress, debt, or discontent (1 Samuel 2:22).

·        Is a place where we realize that we are sinners and need Jesus Christ as our Savior.

·        Is a safe community where we can take off our masks without fear. We accept, embrace, and endear each other as we are.

·        Prioritizes "coming to life" (Luke 15:32), not just for the lost but also for “Myself”

·        Pleases God with worship. We will become who God has designed us to be by being true worshippers.

·        Believes that God's will for each generation will be fulfilled. We shall pray and work together to make it happen.
